IV Bev is a mission-focused brand founded by a handful of college graduates with a knack for adventure. After almost four years of developing and refining, this year we launched our first beverage, a coconut cream-based matcha leaf green tea. Each ingredient is handpicked to guarantee our beverages are 100% natural, GMO-free, and low in sugar.  As the brand grows, we continue to seek ways to reduce our environmental impact. 1% of our annual sales will be donated to environmental nonprofits through 1% for the Planet. For every case of bought online, we will plant an additional 5 trees with the help of One Tree Planted.

As Chief Creative Officer, my role included developing a brand identity from ground-up, designing a corresponding logo and brand design, and creating the labels for our first two bottles. 


Over the last four years, we have grown in many ways both individually and as a team. We learned quickly that our brand needed to easily adapt and grow with these changes. At the same time, a good brand needs to be consistent and immediately recognizable across all platforms. 

The solution was to create a brand design that stands out no matter what the market, but also supports the brands’ core mission. The final IV mark embodies our initial focus  but will also grow seamlessly as we expand our product line.


When it came time to design the bottle and the label the possibilities seemed endless. Much of the task was narrowing our options to support the product vision and aligning with the overall brand. We knew we wanted a simple, sleek yet eye-catching product. There are countless matcha beverages on the shelves and we needed to stand out. 

The challenge of a beverage with 100% natural ingredients is the appearance is not always appealing. I solved this by incorporating my hand-drawn “marble” texture over a white sleeve. I used a metallic overlay for the marble color to reference back the beverage flavor.
